[Remote] Accounts Payable Specialist (Wage)

The role involves ensuring timely processing of vendor invoices and payments, assisting with inquiries, and providing training for the D365 Accounts Payable module.

Responsibilities

• Support the finance team with a primary focus on accounts payable functions
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments
• Assist the Accounts Payable Manager and team members with inquiries
• Conduct back-up reviews of invoices and expenses
• Provide training for D365 Accounts Payable module for business unit users

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in finance, management, business, or a related field
• Strong understanding of financial accounting practices in a business or accounting office environment
• Knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
• Experience with accounts payable processes and expense management policies
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working with Commonwealth of Virginia ARMICS requirements
• Experience in state government, particularly with CARDINAL
• Familiarity with D365 Finance and Operations
