[Remote] Software Developer

They are seeking a Software Developer to join their micro-service development teams, where the candidate will contribute to the development of scalable micro-services and collaborate with senior developers.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of scalable micro-services
• Collaborate with senior developers and teammates on design discussions, code reviews, and deployment processes
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code under guidance from senior team members
• Perform independent research to understand new tools, frameworks, and patterns
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
• Help integrate micro-services with frontend applications and other backend systems
• Support testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of services in development and production

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Relevant Work Experience
• Legal authorization to work in Canada is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening
• 1+ years experience with Java, C#, or another general-purpose programming language
• Understanding of object-oriented programming and RESTful API principles
• Basic familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Exposure to AWS services (Lambda, ECS, S3, etc.)
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts using tools like Terraform
• Familiarity with Angular and TypeScript
• Experience working in an Agile or DevOps environment
