[Remote] Pricing Analyst

The Pricing Analyst plays an integral role in supporting accurate and timely pricing of group benefits, collaborating closely with Sales and Revenue Operations teams to deliver competitive pricing for clients.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to Director of Pricing
- Collaborate as part of the Pricing team, with a primary focus on delivering accurate and timely quotes for new business and upcoming renewals
- Review sales submissions to ensure completeness and accuracy, including proper mapping of plan design
- Support Sales teams with requests related to experience reports, block assignments, and other pricing-related inquiries
- Assist in the development, implementation, standardization, and optimization of pricing processes and tools
- Manage, validate, and upload approved rates into internal systems ensuring accuracy
- Support the optimization of rate documentation and rate management processes to improve accuracy and operational efficiency
- Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives within the Pricing team and the broader Revenue Operations function
- Complete peer reviews of pricing documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to internal standards
- Any other duties required to help drive Sterling Broker’s vision, and abide by our values
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to work comfortably with data and pricing calculations
- Demonstrated experience in data analytics, including data validation, trend analysis, and risk assessment
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including working with large datasets, formulas, pivot tables, and analytical models
- Ability to review, organize, and analyze data to support group benefits pricing and renewal decisions
- High attention to detail and demonstrated accuracy when working with numbers, reports, and multiple systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet concurrent deadlines
- Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively across Sales and Operations team
- High level of accountability, professionalism, and commitment to quality
- Curiosity and a desire to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Previous professional experience within Insurance, Technology or Financial Services desired
- Solid understanding of underwriting principles, pricing methodologies, and risk evaluation (group benefits experience preferred)
