Fractional COO for small company
Position Summary
The Fractional COO will oversee core operations, build SOPs, improve team structure, and ensure consistent quality across the business. You will help manage and train remote analysts, improve client communication systems, streamline workflows, and create a scalable operational foundation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building processes, managing people, and improving efficiency inside small service-based companies. ResponsibilitiesOperations & Systems
• Create standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflows, checklists, and documentation
• Build training materials for internal team members
• Improve and streamline daily and weekly operations
• Implement performance metrics and dashboards
• Identify inefficiencies and propose solutions
Team Management
• Assist with hiring and onboarding analysts
• Manage daily/weekly tasks and workload distribution
• Review work quality and ensure consistency
• Provide coaching, support, and accountability
Client Success
• Help create a structured communication cadence with clients
• Support escalation handling and service recovery
• Improve client satisfaction and operational consistency
Efficiency & Optimization
• Improve operational processes
• Recommend tools, automations, and workflow improvements
• Help control operational costs and maintain efficiency as we grow
Requirements
• Experience in operations management (service-based business preferred)
• Experience creating SOPs and building systems
• Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage remote teams and contractors
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive
• Hospitality, property management, or STR experience is a plus but not required
Compensation
• $1,000/month
• Part-time: approximately 10–15 hours per week
• Flexible schedule
• Performance-based bonus opportunities may be available
