[Remote] GNSS Network Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Trimble Inc. is a company specializing in advanced positioning technologies. They are seeking a GNSS Network Engineer to monitor and manage operational networks for their real-time GNSS correction services, ensuring high availability and providing technical support to the customer care team.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring and maintaining of real-time GNSS correction services
- Develop new approach of monitoring and processes around monitoring the GNSS and IT Infrastructure
- Monitoring and troubleshooting of the global CORS infrastructure (with main focus on Europe)
- Provide 3rd level support to the Trimble Advanced Positioning customer care team. Give technical advice and answer general service questions
Skills
- Intermediate knowledge about GNSS system
- Basic practical knowledge of IT networking
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Outgoing personality, easiness to reach out to people
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English within technical context
- A bachelor's or associate's degree in geomatics, geodetic surveying, or related field
- Experience in geodetic surveying and knowledge about GNSS systems with focus on GNSS corrections and positioning
- Hands on experience with Trimble or other brand GNSS hard- and software
- Experience in data analysis, working with metrics and building monitoring systems (e.g. tools Grafana, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, InfluxDB, DataDog)
- Basic programming skills in Python or PowerShell (with focus on data analysis or processes automation)
