[Remote] GNSS Network Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Trimble Inc. is a company specializing in advanced positioning technologies. They are seeking a GNSS Network Engineer to monitor and manage operational networks for their real-time GNSS correction services, ensuring high availability and providing technical support to the customer care team.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and maintaining of real-time GNSS correction services
• Develop new approach of monitoring and processes around monitoring the GNSS and IT Infrastructure
• Monitoring and troubleshooting of the global CORS infrastructure (with main focus on Europe)
• Provide 3rd level support to the Trimble Advanced Positioning customer care team. Give technical advice and answer general service questions

Skills

• Intermediate knowledge about GNSS system
• Basic practical knowledge of IT networking
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Outgoing personality, easiness to reach out to people
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English within technical context
• A bachelor's or associate's degree in geomatics, geodetic surveying, or related field
• Experience in geodetic surveying and knowledge about GNSS systems with focus on GNSS corrections and positioning
• Hands on experience with Trimble or other brand GNSS hard- and software
• Experience in data analysis, working with metrics and building monitoring systems (e.g. tools Grafana, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, InfluxDB, DataDog)
• Basic programming skills in Python or PowerShell (with focus on data analysis or processes automation)
