Application Security Engineer ll Remote ID,AZ, NV UT, TX 6- Month contract to hire $50 to $60per hour 110k to 120k Job Description The Application Security Admin ll will work with Senior SIEM Administrators and developers to develop and deliver solutions to gain visibility of security events within their environment. The Application Security Engineer Il is a foundational role within the SOC, instrumental in shielding the organization's web applications from malicious threats. This proactive individual will be deeply involved in crafting robust defenses for critical applications, working with development teams to improve secure coding practices, promptly responding to any threats or attacks, and actively contributing to the development of custom alerting use-cases tailored for public-facing applications. They exhibit a broad sense of ownership over application security domains, from prevention and detection to a decisive response, ensuring comprehensive application protection. Required Skills • 6+ years of IT security and network experience • Expertise in Penetration testing (we use Burp Suite) • Expertise in API Testing • Scanning tool expertise - SAST, DAST, SCA • Expertise in integrating security tools to the CI/CD pipeline • GWEB or GWAPT certification Bonus/Soft Skills: • Experience with Code Reviews • GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) • GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA) • GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA) • GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE); Welcome to ConsultNet and the family of companies, Tekne, SaltClick, TechBridge, and OmniMedia.
