Alternative Data Management - Analyst

iCapital is seeking an Alternative Data Management Analyst to join the Data Solutions team. This role involves managing data acquisition, ensuring data integrity and quality, and collaborating across teams to provide insights from alternative investment data.

Responsibilities

• Data Acquisition, Sourcing and Maintenance – manage source document and retrieval methods related to alternative investment products
• Data Integrity – enrich unstructured data into existing data infrastructure
• Data Quality and Controls – ensure completeness, timeliness and accuracy of relevant investment data through validation and control processes
• Data Governance – adhere to data governance best practices
• Cross-Functional Collaboration – collaborate across teams to provide insights from alternative investment data across multiple reporting platforms and systems
• Automation and Process improvement – continuously look for ways to automate and improve existing processes
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing – maintain and share standard operating procedures

Skills

• Bachelor's in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field
• 0 – 3 years in data management, analysis, or financial operations
• Proficiency in data management tools, excel and other software
• General understanding of the alternative investment landscape
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks and meet deadlines
• Commitment to continuously learn new technologies and adapt to new data and systems as industry evolves
• Ability to identify and understand risks associated with data management processes
• Ability to support the team and build relationships across teams
