Associate - Technology Engineer

New York Life Insurance Company is a Fortune 100 mutual company focused on technology and data-driven solutions. They are seeking a Technology Engineer to gain hands-on experience in developing cloud-native applications and contributing to the company's digital transformation efforts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack and cloud-native applications
• Use modern front-end and back-end technologies to build secure, scalable solutions
• Create cloud-native applications using Agile and DevOps principles
• Deploy applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments
• Write clean, testable, and efficient code with a strong focus on quality and scalability
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver new features and capabilities
• Apply AI and automation to improve architecture, development processes, and delivery pipelines

Skills

• Undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field
• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix and Windows operating environments
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C, C++, Java, or C#
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and database or scripting concepts
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging technologies, including AI, and a desire to help build the future
