Data Engineer(LLM and Switzerland ops)

Job Title: Senior Data Engineer – Data Switzerland Operations Location: Remote USA Duration: 6 months + Overview: This role focuses on daily operations and data engineering support for the Data Switzerland platform, enabling 1P partner teams to efficiently access and utilize data for business-critical scenarios. The Data Switzerland platform manages petabytes of data, runs complex data processing workflows, and powers data-driven activities such as AI/ML model training, performance reporting, and analytics. You will be responsible for ensuring data availability, quality, and security while supporting partner requests and implementing enhancements to the platform. This position requires strong technical expertise in Azure data services, data pipeline development, and operational excellence. Responsibilities: •  Manage daily operational tasks on the Data Switzerland platform to support requests from 1P partner teams. •  Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and workflows for ingestion, transformation, and delivery of large-scale datasets. •  Monitor and improve data quality, reliability, and performance across the platform. •  Implement data security best practices and ensure compliance with organizational standards. •  Collaborate with engineering teams and program managers to deliver new features and operational improvements. •  Leverage Azure data services (Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse, Azure SQL, Kusto) for data processing and analytics. •  Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a fast-paced environment. •  Drive automation and efficiency in operational processes using scripting and tooling. Qualifications: •  Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. •  7+ years of experience in data engineering, data platform development, or similar roles. •  Strong hands-on experience with Azure technologies: o  Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse o  Azure SQL, Kusto, Azure Storage Accounts •  Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation; experience with C# is a plus. •  Solid understanding of data security principles and ability to implement secure development processes. •  Experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing data pipelines. •  Ability to work in a start-up-like, fast-paced environment, driving technical investigations and prototyping. •  Excellent collaboration and communication skills; strong curiosity and willingness to learn.
