Job Overview

We are offering a unique opportunity for a talented and experienced Healthcare Customer Service Representative to work remotely and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients. This is a contract position with a duration of 3 months, with the potential to extend or convert to a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in activities related to the medical and psychological aspects of utilization and coordinated care, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and supportive care.
  • Make outreach attempts via telephone to members assigned each day, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Consistently update an Excel spreadsheet with member assignments listed, ensuring accurate and efficient record-keeping.
  • Maintain consistent communication with supervisors, ensuring that all issues and concerns are addressed in a timely and effective manner.
  • Document all interactions with patients in Virtual Health, ensuring that all records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory requirements.

Performance Expectations

To be successful in this role, you will be expected to meet the following performance expectations:

  • Make a high volume of outbound calls to patients, ensuring that all members receive the care and support they need.
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of medical terminology, ensuring that all interactions with patients are accurate and effective.
  • Maintain reliable home internet with a dedicated workspace, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and the ability to work efficiently and effectively.
  • Complete 80-120 phone calls per day to the Medicare population, ensuring that all patients receive the care and support they need.
  • Achieve a compliance rate of 100% for all assigned members, ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met.
  • Maintain an engagement rate of 80% or more per month, ensuring that all patients are actively engaged in their care and support.
  • Achieve an audit score of a minimum of 90%, ensuring that all interactions with patients are accurate, effective, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Complete 600 member assignments per month, ensuring that all patients receive the care and support they need.

Qualifications and Skills

To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following qualifications and skills:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a managed care setting, medical office, or facility setting, with a demonstrated ability to perform medical administration duties.
  • Thorough knowledge of customer service, utilization review, or claims processing practices in a managed care environment.
  • Operation of office equipment, including a personal computer, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
  • Knowledge of Virtual Health and other healthcare software systems, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Certification in customer service or a related field, with a demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional care and support.
