Electronic Arts is a leader in interactive entertainment, seeking high-performing students for their internship program. The PhD Intern in Video to Motion will develop a machine learning model to convert videos into high-fidelity character animation, focusing on 3D human pose estimation from video inputs.
Responsibilities
- Perform a literature review
- Evaluate state-of-the-art methods
- Propose and experiment with novel approaches and methods
- Plan and build a proof-of-concept demonstration
- Write a technical report and share insights by giving presentations to the team
Skills
- Ongoing Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Graphics, Machine Learning, or any other relevant field
- Experience in using video data for training ML models
- Knowledge in 3D human pose and animation techniques
- You care about video games as a medium
- Must be available for a full-time paid internship in the summer of 2026
- Must be enrolled in an accredited degree program in the summer of 2026, slated to graduate no earlier than December 2026
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis during the 8 month internship
- Graduation date must be visible on your resume
