Responsibilities

• Verify patient demographics and insurance details, securing necessary pre-certifications and authorizations
• Accurately schedule clinical services while confirming patient details
• Provide customer service support to patients regarding financial responsibilities and pre-registration
• Input patient and insurance data accurately into relevant systems
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines and organizational policies

Skills

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Financial, or Healthcare fields preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in patient access, financial services, or healthcare-related roles
• Proficiency in medical terminology and insurance protocols
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• 2-3 years of experience in patient access or healthcare-related roles
• Experience with hospital billing requirements and documentation processes
• Knowledge of Protected Health Information (PHI) and HIPAA
• Bilingual skills are a plus
