About the position The Logistics Manager at PIM Brands is responsible for overseeing the logistics team and ensuring efficient processing of shipments while adhering to company policies and vendor requirements. This role involves managing transportation costs, coordinating with freight forwarders and third-party logistics providers, and enhancing customer experience throughout the order-to-delivery process. The position requires strong leadership and communication skills to manage the logistics team effectively and resolve any issues that arise. Responsibilities • Support the Distribution Director and manage the logistics team and its activities. • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures while processing shipments. • Monitor logistics operations for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. • Communicate with freight forwarders, carriers, and third-party logistics providers to coordinate freight movement. • Coordinate staff workload to ensure timely task completion. • Review weekly freight invoices for accuracy. • Work closely with the Distribution Director to resolve customer issues and complaints. • Analyze logistics processes and propose improvements. Requirements • Minimum of five years of management experience in a logistics environment. • At least three years of direct management experience. • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. • Experience with ERP or SAP systems is preferred. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Ability to analyze information and evaluate results for problem-solving. • Experience in vendor management, preferably on a global scale. Nice-to-haves • Experience in transportation economics and supply chain management. • Ability to handle complaints and resolve conflicts effectively.
