Job Overview

In this critical role, you will be responsible for delivering top-notch services to our clients, working closely with institutional staff to identify and address financial aid compliance and operational issues. Your expertise will be invaluable in creating improvement plans, conducting operational reviews, and preparing comprehensive reports. As a chat support specialist, you will also provide exceptional customer service, responding to client inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. This is a remote opportunity, allowing you to work from anywhere in the U.S. and enjoy a flexible schedule. However, please note that travel may be required up to 100% of the time, as you will be working with clients across the country.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to identify and address financial aid compliance and operational issues, developing and implementing improvement plans as needed
  • Conduct thorough research on complex regulatory issues, providing concise analysis and recommendations to clients
  • Lead training sessions on financial aid issues, either individually or in groups, to ensure that clients are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed
  • Create project plans, manage software implementation or configuration, and develop documentation of completed work
  • Provide exceptional chat support, responding to client inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Work closely with the arenaflex team to ensure that all services are delivered to the highest standard, meeting and exceeding client expectations

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a bachelor's degree and have at least five to seven years of progressive financial aid experience. You should be an exceptional communicator, with the ability to organize and deliver training sessions, as well as provide concise analysis and recommendations on complex regulatory issues. Knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulatory requirements is essential, as is experience with automation and major financial aid information systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Banner, CampusVue, Datatel, PeopleSoft, PowerFAIDS, and/or other major student information systems
  • Demonstrated strong writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create comprehensive reports and documentation
  • Skilled user of Microsoft Office products, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and client satisfaction
