[Remote] Software Engineer Intern - iOS, Poe (Canada - Remote)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Quora is a privately held, remote-first company focused on growing the world's collective intelligence through its platforms, Quora and Poe. The iOS Engineer Intern will work on the Poe product, assisting in the design, development, and enhancement of the iOS app while collaborating with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Poe’s iOS engineers to design, build, and test new user-facing features
• Contribute to the performance, stability, and polish of the Poe iOS app
• Participate in code reviews and learn best practices in mobile architecture and product development
• Work cross-functionally with design and product teams to create delightful user experiences
• Take ownership of a real project that will ship to users during your internship

Skills

• Availability for meetings and impromptu communication during Quora's 'coordination hours' (Mon-Fri: 9am-3pm Pacific Time)
• Currently pursuing a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field at a Canadian University
• Graduating in Summer 2026
• Experience or coursework in Swift and a strong interest in iOS development
• Strong problem-solving skills and an eagerness to learn
• Passion for building impactful products and curiosity about AI
• Experience building or contributing to an iOS app (personal, academic, or professional)
• Familiarity with SwiftUI, GraphQL, and app architecture patterns (MVC, MVVM, etc.)
• Interest in the intersection of AI and mobile applications
