Intern, Software Development (Winter 2026)

Wealthsimple is on a mission to help everyone achieve financial freedom by reimagining what it means to manage money. As an Intern in Software Development, you will contribute to impactful projects in a collaborative environment, working with modern technologies and gaining valuable mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Make a real impact by contributing to projects that are changing the financial landscape for over 3 million users across Canada
• Work with modern technologies in a complex microservice architecture, including Ruby on Rails, Java/Kotlin, React, and a wide range of AWS services like SQS, Kafka, and S3
• Take true ownership of your work, tackling complex challenges and driving projects to completion with a high degree of autonomy and trust from your team
• Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, product managers, and designers to build and deliver features that provide maximum benefit to our clients
• Accelerate your growth through dedicated mentorship, hands-on learning, educational workshops, and company hackathons, all within a team that is invested in your success

Skills

• Currently enrolled as a student at a Canadian post-secondary institution or technical bootcamp
• New graduates - Within 6 months of your graduation date
• Available to work full-time hours
• Residing in Canada
• Able to commute to our Toronto HQ on Wednesdays and Thursdays
