Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Experienced Medical Billing Manager to oversee the billing operations for a diverse healthcare practice specializing in chiropractic, occupational therapy (OT), acupuncture, and nurse practitioner (NP) services. This remote position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to lead billing processes, ensure accurate claims submission, and optimize revenue cycle management. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in medical billing within outpatient settings, demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, and thrive in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment. Duties • Manage and supervise the entire medical billing process for outpatient healthcare services, including chiropractic, OT, acupuncture, and NP practices. • Oversee claim submissions to insurance companies, Medicare, Medicaid, and private payers to ensure timely reimbursement. • Review and resolve claim denials or rejections efficiently while implementing strategies to reduce future errors. • Train and mentor billing staff on best practices, coding updates, and compliance standards to maintain high accuracy levels. • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and implement collection strategies to improve cash flow. • Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements including HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and payer-specific policies. • Collaborate with clinical staff and administrative teams to optimize documentation quality for accurate billing. • Generate detailed reports on billing performance metrics and revenue cycle health for executive review. Skills • Extensive knowledge of medical billing procedures across outpatient healthcare specialties such as chiropractic, OT, acupuncture, and NP practices. • Proficiency with billing software systems, electronic health records (EHR), and coding platforms like CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes. • Strong understanding of insurance policies, payer requirements, and reimbursement methodologies. • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and develop a remote team effectively. • Exceptional problem-solving skills with attention to detail in claim review and denial management. • Effective communication skills for liaising with insurance companies, vendors, and internal teams. • Ability to analyze financial data and generate actionable insights to improve revenue cycle performance.
