Automation Engineer, Mid
Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an Automation Engineer to develop user-focused solutions through clean code and analytics. The role involves creating efficient software and implementing system improvements in an agile environment, utilizing modern tools and techniques.
Responsibilities
- Develop efficient and effective software, from vision to production-ready system
- Analyze the environment to ensure that solutions consider the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements
- Identify and implement system improvements
Skills
- 1+ years of experience working on software development teams
- 1+ years of experience with scripting or programming languages, including Python, PowerShell, Bash, JavaScript or Go
- 1+ years of experience with version control systems
- Experience with system automation via PowerShell, Ansible, or Bash
- Experience with deploying applications and CI/CD tools, including GitLab
- Experience with containerization
- Knowledge of programming fundamentals, concepts, and language mechanics
- Top Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT II Certification, including Security+ Certification, within 30 days of start date
- Experience with Containers, including Docker, Kubernetes, or Rancher
- Experience with AWS or Azure Cloud
- Experience with module development
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
