Project Manager I, Labs- Process Improvement
ICON plc is a world-leading healthcare intelligence and clinical research organization. They are seeking a Project Manager to lead and coordinate project activities, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality standards while promoting a culture of process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate Process Improvement Culture: Recognize the importance of and actively promote a culture of process improvement, ensuring that processes are streamlined to maximize efficiency, add value to our business, and meet client needs
- Process Optimization: Conduct workshops with Subject Matter Experts to map current processes, identify issues, and design streamlined processes, improving efficiency and effectiveness
- Metrics and Reporting: Offer support and guidance to the business on metrics definition and evaluation, as well as reporting tools. Contribute to data-driven decision-making processes
- Developing and managing detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery
- Leading cross-functional project teams, coordinating efforts to meet project objectives, and facilitating effective communication and collaboration
- Monitoring project progress, identifying potential risks and issues, and implementing strategies to address challenges and keep projects on track
- Engaging with stakeholders to manage expectations, provide updates, and ensure alignment with project goals and organizational objectives
- Ad Hoc Responsibilities: Be ready to tackle any other duties as assigned by Senior Management, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the overall success of the organization
Skills
- 1 to 2 years' experience in a Laboratory or Clinical Research based environment
- Proven track record of successfully managing projects from inception to completion, with a focus on delivering results within scope, time, and budget constraints
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage project teams and prioritize tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and manage stakeholder expectations
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable, with a commitment to achieving project goals and driving continuous improvement
- Excel and Visio or other project mapping software is required
- Bachelor's degree in project management, business, or a related field is preferred, with significant experience in project management and team leadership
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma or related process improvement methodologies is a plus
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, with certifications such as PMP is being advantageous
