Business Development Representative
NAVEX is committed to making the world a safer and more ethical place. They are seeking a Business Development Representative to drive new business growth by identifying and creating opportunities in untapped markets through proactive outbound prospecting.
Responsibilities
- Exceed your monthly quota by utilizing your ability to assess a prospect’s “fit”
- Acquire/generate qualified business leads by cold calling; engaging with and developing prospects to be closed by Sales team
- Document, track and monitor all leads and activities in Salesforce.com
- Utilize smart, targeted questions to speak knowledgeably with decision makers such as VPs, Directors and C-suite personnel
- Acquire in depth knowledge of our full range of risk and compliance solutions and services, conveying that knowledge to potential customers, and adhering to company messaging and positioning
- Nurture relationships with longer term prospects
- Conduct territory development best practices with email, phone and chat using sales enablement tools to connect with new prospects and current customers
Skills
- Previous sales, telemarketing or lead generation experience
- Technical acumen to ramp up quickly on core technologies such as Salesforce, Groove, etc
- A tenacious work ethic with a desire to have a career in sales
- Grit and know-how with a curious and creative mindset to set goals to achieve bigger outcomes
- Highly motivated, self-starter with a strong desire to meet and exceed quota monthly, maintaining a high call rate and ability to assess prospect's 'fit'
- A modest yet assertive and confident demeanor with empathy and compassion
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication skills, presentations skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives to engage and influence executive-level decision makers
