General Labourer (Fly In - Fly Out)

Matrix Camps, Logistics and Aviation is a national company providing camps, logistics and aviation management services. They are seeking skilled and motivated individuals to join their team as General Labourers for their MLA Camp located in the Kitikmeot Region, Nunavut, responsible for performing various general labor tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor tasks according to safe work practices and procedures
• Assist with construction and assembly of various structures and facilities
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
• Assist with fuelling, snow removal, garbage incineration and other general site services tasks
• Assist with camp maintenance, general janitorial and cleaning duties as required, as well as help with storage and packing of camp deliveries and luggage
• Report any incidents or accidents immediately
• Participate in daily toolbox meetings
• Work effectively in a team environment
• Adhere to project schedules and deadlines

Skills

• Previous experience as a general laborer or similar role
• Must have previous camp experience. Exploration camp experience is a strong asset
• Knowledge of construction tools and equipment
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as heavy lifting and manual labor
• Excellent work ethic and attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver's license preferred
• WHMIS certification is an asset
• Standard First Aid certification is an asset
