HR & Payroll Coordinator
Kepler is a company that specializes in engineered marketing, recognized as one of the Best Places to Work by AdAge in 2022. They are seeking an HR & Payroll Coordinator to support HR functions, process payroll, maintain employee records, and act as a liaison for employee inquiries.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all administrative aspects of new hire onboarding to ensure an engaging onboarding and training experience
- Coordinate and process life cycle events (LOAs, promotions, voluntary benefits, team/account changes, offboarding, transfers, training, etc.)
- Maintain HR data integrity by ensuring our HRIS remains up to date and accurate, and ensure applicable trackers are maintained
- Act as a frontline point of contact for employee inquiries involving benefits, payroll, company policy, employment verifications, and other HR and payroll related questions
- Ensure our database (Guru) is maintained with the most up to date HR and payroll information
- Maintain HR and payroll shared drives, employee files, and org charts
- Build HR and Benefits presentations and trackers as needed
- Generate and format employee data reports, both ad hoc and routine, in support of business needs
- Prepare first draft of payroll working files for each payroll cycle
- Review employee expenses, timesheets, and PTO data file for each payroll cycle
- Conduct routine payroll data and benefits audits
- Support quarter end and year end reconciliations
- Act as a liaison with third-party vendors and state specific tax agencies
- Assist with tax notice resolution as needed
- Additional responsibilities or projects as needed
Skills
- 1-3 years of HR or payroll experience, preferably with a multi-state organization of 350 employees or more
- The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Familiarity with payroll processes and deadlines
- Working knowledge of payroll systems (preferably with Paycom)
- Familiarity with excel, google sheets and Gmail
- At least 1 year of tax notice resolution experience
- Excellent data entry, reconciliation and math skills
- Working knowledge of payroll legislation and updates
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in support of our employees
- Ability to work proactively, juggle multiple priorities, and pay strong attention to detail
- A passion to learn and gain new skills
