Remote Direct Instruction Math Specialist (Certified Teacher) (Grades K-5)

About the position As a Direct Instruction Math Specialist at Braintrust Tutors, you’ll work directly with students virtually to support their mastery of key math concepts through structured, high-impact intervention sessions. You’ll deliver instruction with fidelity to our curriculum, reinforce classroom learning, and help students build the confidence and skills needed for academic success. Responsibilities • Provide small-group (1:1 or 1:4) direct instruction for students in grades K-5th in a virtual setting • Implement Braintrust’s intervention programs as designed, using all materials with fidelity • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic performance • Collaborate with the Braintrust Operations team and school staff to support student growth • Foster a supportive and engaging virtual classroom environment that promotes focus and confidence • Follow procedures and policies while maintaining a professional and dependable presence • Use provided assessments and progress monitoring tools for understanding to guide instruction • Manage time effectively during sessions to complete all planned instructional activities Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field • Active or expired teaching license • Knowledge of math instruction that builds number sense, procedural fluency, and problem-solving skills, with a scope and sequence ranging from counting to multi-digit arithmetic, including decimals and fractions. • Strong communication and virtual classroom management skills • Comfortable using video conferencing tools and digital platforms • Reliable Wi-Fi and a quiet, distraction-free workspace • Passion for mathematical literacy and closing opportunity gaps Nice-to-haves • Experience working with elementary school-aged students preferred Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
