Short-Term Copy Editor for Off-Road & Pickup Truck Product Listings (US Native, No AI)

About the Role We’re looking for a US-based native English speaker to help refine and polish product copy for off-road and pickup truck accessories. This is a short-term freelance project. We will provide the base copy, product specs, and reference materials. Your role is to improve clarity, tone, and natural flow so the copy feels authentic to real U.S. truck and off-road users. This role is best suited for someone who actually understands pickup trucks, off-road vehicles, and outdoor use cases, not just generic marketing language. What You’ll Be Doing Edit and polish existing product descriptions, bullet points, and short marketing copy Make the language sound natural, practical, and human, not overly sales-driven Improve readability while keeping all technical details accurate Adapt copy to real-life scenarios such as camping, overlanding, family trips, jobsite use, and weekend trail runs Ideal Background Native English speaker based in the United States Owns or regularly uses a pickup truck, SUV, Bronco, Jeep, or similar vehicle Genuinely interested in outdoor activities like camping, overlanding, road trips, or DIY vehicle mods Familiar with how U.S. customers read and evaluate product listings Detail-oriented and able to improve wording without changing technical meaning Comfortable writing original content without AI assistance Original Human Writing Requirement (No AI Tools) This is a strict requirement. This project requires 100% human-written content. The use of AI writing tools is not permitted, including but not limited to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar tools. We use internal technical methods to review submitted content. Any content identified as AI-generated or AI-assisted will be rejected and not paid for. If you rely on AI tools for writing, this project will not be a good fit. We are specifically looking for authentic, experience-driven, human writing.
