[Remote] Cybersecurity Engineer - Email Security & Network Access Control

Tundra Technical Solutions is a company focused on providing enterprise security solutions for a large organization in the insurance industry. They are seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support Email Security and Network Access Control systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while protecting sensitive data.
Responsibilities
• Research, evaluate, validate, and recommend security technologies; support build, test, and implementation efforts
• Provide daily operational support for Email Security and NAC platforms
• Monitor systems, analyze logs, troubleshoot issues, and resolve alerts and escalations
• Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and performance tuning
• Manage system configurations, policies, and operational controls
• Support incident response, remediation, and return-to-operation activities
• Collaborate with vendors, service providers, and internal IT teams
• Support security audits, threat and vulnerability assessments, and compliance activities
• Develop and maintain operational documentation, procedures, and diagrams
• Assist with disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution
• Support security migrations, upgrades, and decommissioning efforts
• Provide training and guidance to peers on security tools and processes
Skills
• Hands-on experience with Email Security and Network Access Control tools
• Experience supporting enterprise operating systems including: Linux (Red Hat Enterprise), Windows Enterprise, macOS
• Familiarity with host compliance, file integrity monitoring, and malware defense technologies
• Experience troubleshooting security incidents and performing remediation
• Understanding of vulnerability and patch management practices
• 4+ years of related IT experience
• 2+ years of cybersecurity experience
• 2+ years of IT infrastructure experience
• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking
• Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ownership mindset with the ability to drive work to completion
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent relevant work experience
• Relevant cybersecurity or technical certification required
• If certification is not currently held, the selected candidate will be expected to obtain an approved certification within six months of hire
• IBM AIX
• SSCP preferred (or obtained within 180 days of full-time hire)
