Job Summary
As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be responsible for performing data entry tasks, patient enrollment, and handling high-volume customer requests. You will work under direct supervision and be expected to maintain guideline operating procedures and perform duties in accordance with arenaflex's policies and procedures. Your key responsibilities will include utilizing pharmacy systems to acquire patient and medication data, investigating to obtain missing prescription information, and interpreting medical abbreviations (SIG codes).
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize arenaflex's solution information entry techniques and rules to process new patient enrollment by entering data into the proper system.
- Handle patient medication requests within HIPAA guidelines and enter refill orders for processing.
- Investigate to acquire missing prescription data and interpret medical abbreviations (SIG codes).
- Resolve all data entry issues related to exceptions.
- Handle communication to patients (inbound calls, chats, messages) and resolve outbound calls to prescribers and patients as needed.
- Resolve Third-Party Rejections by inspecting, gathering information, making corrections, and resubmitting for processing according to individual plan requirements.
- Make phone calls to guarantors and others to obtain information, gain override approval, or otherwise resolve Third-Party Rejections.
- Provide support to Pharmacists, both those in the office and those in different locations.
- Identify and communicate issues to senior-level staff as appropriate.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic level computer skills (for example: start and shut down computer, use mouse to point and click, start and close programs, switch between applications, save files, print reports, and/or access information online).
- Basic web browser skills to include opening a browser, typing URLs in the correct location, using a search engine, bookmarking a site, navigating back/forward/stop buttons, and completing forms online.
- Intermediate level keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM, typing by memory, formatting documents).
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- 18 years old or older.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following preferred qualifications will make you a more competitive candidate:
- At least one year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or call center environment.
- At least one and a half years of experience as a pharmacy technician with a certification/registration by the state as granted by the state Board of Pharmacy or nationally recognized certification organization.
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and assessment of customer satisfaction.
- Intermediate to advanced level keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM, typing by memory, formatting documents).
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
