Job Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Analyst, Specialty Compliance and Data Entry Specialist to be based out of our arenaflex headquarters. This position will support the Direct Imports Group, ensuring compliance with U.S. import regulations, documentation, and compliance matters. As a key member of our team, you will provide expertise on U.S. import regulations, identify and assemble required documentation, and ensure compliance with global customs and regulatory authorities. You will report to the Sr. Director, Compliance and Ethics.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Cooperating Government Organizations for all items directly imported into the US by assigning appropriate harmonized tariff code and duty percentage.
- Identify and assemble all required documentation to ensure all items are permissible into the US.
- Ensure compliance with international customs and regulatory authorities.
- Develop, implement, and maintain significant regulations to ensure proper application to affected items and purchase orders.
- Research proposed regulatory changes and existing regulations to act as a subject matter expert to the business.
- Provide guidance to suppliers or global sourcing to support accurate costing decisions.
- Collaborate with senior managers to identify compliance and ethics gaps and suggest and develop improvements.
Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
Essential Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in data analysis and data entry, with a history of high performance on projects.
- 3 years of experience in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
- Any project management experience would be preferred but not required.
- 3 years of import experience.
- Any experience with harmonized tariff code would be an asset.
