Attain aggressive top and bottom-line annual objectives via strategic, joint business planning with Costco. Create a long-term vision for Costco and continue to build the team necessary to bring that vision to life. Lead via strategic influence at the highest level both internally and externally. This position will be based on the West Coast, however, a strong/consistent presence in our Emeryville, CA office is expected, as well as the ability to travel to Costco Corporate US, Canada, & International as needed. The expected pay scale for this role if you’re based in the Bay Area or Greater Seattle area is $220k to $250k, which may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications, geographic area (if applicable), and internal equity for the role. You’re excited about this opportunity because your time will be filled with… Strategic Account Management: 20% of Time • Lead annual strategic growth planning process and understand all aspects of P&L management • Develop formal sales plans, budgets, and timelines Team Leadership: 20% of Time • Lead the Costco team and build bench strength • This will include hiring, developing, measuring performance of Costco Team Members • Be a great coach, mentor, and leader Business Building: 40% of Time • Drive the existing business in the most effective and efficient manner possible • Ensure item selection, pricing, promotional strategies and tactics are consistent with the plan • Be a visionary. See around corners and stay ahead of developing trends and adjust accordingly • Penetrate and develop direct relationships with senior management at Costco Corporate and Regional level to elevate the conversation Cross-functional Leadership: 20% of Time • Provide ideas for innovative new products. Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance & Operations in the development process and execute effective product launches • Work with the Marketing Leads to craft a consistent brand message when developing new Club Packs for Costco • Serve as a key member of Premier Nutrition’s Senior Management team that helps influence the company’s overall strategy What are we looking for? Education: • Bachelor’s degree required Experience: • 10+ Years of Sales experience at an executive level within the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) Industry • Must have a stellar track record of success at managing a sales team dedicated to Costco as well as strong relationships at the executive level • Must have complete working knowledge and understanding of the Costco business as well as high industry acumen that includes a deep understanding of other Sales Channels beyond Club and how these interact • Must have knowledge/experience in building brand new business, as well as the ability to maximize existing business via creative and innovative solutions Skills: • Must be willing to travel extensively; over 30% including outside the US • Independent, self-driven individual with the ability to build vs. manage • Creative with a desire for continuous improvement So, if after reading through this long list you’re thinking—I’m not sure I meet 100% of these requirements, should I still apply?
