Job title: Senior Linux Systems Engineer, Remote Company: ASRC Federal Job description: Job Title Senior Linux Systems Engineer, Remote Location Remote Job Description ASRC Federal Data Network Technologies is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer, Linux to join our team and be a part of an agile systems integration and engineering support services team. This REMOTE position will join our mission which focuses on the defense health interoperability products and DoD's mission to deploy an industry leading electronic health record (EHR) system. The System Engineer will be part of an agile systems integration and engineering support services team that supports defense health interoperability products and DoD’s mission to deploy an industry leading electronic health record (EHR) system. The senior engineer will oversee and execute deployment of the products across development, testing, integration, and sustainment environments and will integrate the products with other defense health systems, veteran’s healthcare systems, and private sector healthcare providers and information exchanges. Responsibilities include: Integrating and sustaining five custom-built defense health systems, multiple COTS products, and a growing number of interfaces with external systems to ensure seamless and reliable flow of health data. • Using industry leading tools, such as Ansible Tower and GitLab, to continuously improve software release and installation processes. • Resolving complex client application, integration, and environment issues, including identification of code defects, product configuration errors, and certificate problems. • Support implementation of automated application and environment monitoring tools such as AppDynamics. • Analyzing and studying complex system requirements and providing recommendations to client leadership on new technologies and processes to consider in future system development and modernization efforts. • Integrating skillsets into our large matrixed team environment, willingness to utilize and grow skillsets with industry tools. Join our team and find out why we are a preferred employer. • BS/BA in Computer Science, MIS or other related field highly desired • Proficiency with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Java EE, JBoss EAP, WS Frameworks, SOAP, REST, Oracle, Oracle RDS, SQL Server, JBoss, and WebSphere, with a deep willingness and desire to learn new technologies • Experience and working knowledge of AWS and DevSecOps, strong experience is highly desired but not required • 7-10 years in systems administration, system engineering, and/or software development • Strong troubleshooting capabilities with demonstrated experience • RedHat Linux Certification • Strong understanding of IA requirements and mitigation support • US Citizenship with an active Secret clearance; candidates with an inactive or an ability to get a Secret clearance will be considered City RICHMOND State Virginia • *COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement Statement The COVID-19 vaccination requirement in Executive Order 14042 and FAR 52.223-99 is currently not effective.
