IRCC-Licensed Canadian Immigration Lawyer or RCIC Needed to Provide Attestation Letter - Contract to Hire
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a licensed Canadian immigration professional—either:
a Canadian Lawyer in good standing with a provincial Law Society, OR
an RCIC (Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant) licensed by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC)—
to review our company documents and issue a formal attestation letter on professional letterhead.
This attestation will be used for legal and administrative purposes in Nigeria to clarify the legitimacy of a Canadian corporation and the immigration pathways available to its shareholders.
SCOPE OF WORK
The selected professional will:
1. Review the following documents:
Certificate of Incorporation (British Columbia)
Notice of Articles
Share Certificates issued to shareholders
Corporate records confirming directorship & officer roles
BCeID confirmation (if needed)
Invitation letter and business description of the Canadian entity
2. Verify the Following Statements:
You will confirm—based on your professional assessment—that:
✔ The Canadian company is duly registered and active
(create a statement referencing the BC Corporate Registry)
✔ The share certificates are authentic, compliant, and valid under Canadian corporate law
(BC Business Corporations Act)
✔ The shareholders listed have legitimate ownership standing in the company
✔ With these documents, the individuals possess sufficient corporate ties to support an application for:
Business Visitor Visa (Business Travel under IRPR)
Potential future LMIA-based pathways (if applicable)
✔ The structure of establishing a Canadian company and assigning shares is a legitimate approach for business expansion, exploration, or future immigration planning—NOT fraudulent or prohibited under IRCC policy.
3. Issue a Professional Attestation Letter
On your official law firm or consultancy letterhead, you will provide:
A legal opinion/attestation
Confirmation of document validity
Confirmation of the corporation’s legitimacy
Confirmation that the business ties can support a Business Visitor Visa
A statement that nothing in the reviewed structure violates IRCC or Canadian immigration law
The attestation must include:
Your full name
Professional license number (Law Society ID or RCIC number)
Contact information
REQUIREMENTS
Only apply if you meet ALL the following:
✔ You are a licensed Canadian immigration lawyer, or
✔ You are an RCIC certified under CICC (formerly ICCRC)
Additional requirements:
Experience reviewing Canadian corporate documents
Familiarity with business immigration (SUV, LMIA Owner/Operator, C11, Business Visitor Visa)
Ability to issue official letters on professional letterhead
Excellent clarity in explaining IRCC eligibility criteria

This is strictly a document verification and attestation assignment.
