Senior Manufacturing Cost Accountant Remote

We are looking for a skilled Cost Accountant to join our team in Wilmington, Massachusetts. This role involves managing cost and inventory accounting while supporting month-end financial processes. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounting operations and have a keen eye for detail. Oversee cost accounting activities, including monitoring inventory and analyzing variances. • Assist with month-end financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance. • Maintain and update annual standard cost data to reflect business operations. • Analyze the cost of goods sold (COGS) and provide insights to support financial decision-making. • Collaborate with teams to ensure proper tracking of accounts payable and cash activity. • Utilize ERP systems to manage and report on financial data effectively. • Conduct audits to ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal controls. • Support budgeting processes by providing detailed cost analysis and forecasts. • Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies to improve operational efficiency. Requirements - Proven experience in cost accounting and inventory management. • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems. • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes. • Familiarity with accounts payable, auditing, and cash activity management. • Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
