Senior BI Consultant (Power BI / Data Modeling / Azure)

About the Project We are a mid-sized SaaS/ERP company looking for an experienced BI consultant to help us develop our Business Intelligence offering. The goal is to transform an existing first version into a scalable and commercially viable solution for our customers. All work is fully remote. Project Background A technical foundation is already in place, including: - Data extraction and loading into a central Azure-based data layer - Data models built for analysis - Initial Power BI reports and dashboards - The structure exists, but it needs validation, refinement, and further development before broader release. Scope of Work 1. Technical Review & Onboarding - Review existing data structures, models, pipelines, and Power BI reports - Identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities - Recommend adjustments to architecture, performance, and development workflows (if any) 2. Vision, Roadmap and development plan (Next Increments) - Work with product stakeholders to define the upcoming releases of the BI offering (backlog of product increments) - Provide technical guidance on feasible solutions and future functionality - Contribute to shaping how the offering can scale and be commercialized 3. Ongoing Development & Maintenance - Implement identified product increments and secure releases of these - Ensure a stable and scalable solution for multiple customers Deliverables - Technical assessment of current solution - Defined BI roadmap and next-increment plan (co-created with Tengella team) - Implementation of agreed improvements (ongoing work that will be scoped and approved) Required Skills - Strong experience with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, report design) - Solid understanding of SQL Server and data warehouse design - Experience with Azure Data Factory or similar ETL tools - Experience with Tabular Models (SSAS) or equivalent modeling tools - Ability to work independently and communicate clearly - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Language Requirement The consultant should ideally communicate effectively in Swedish (spoken and written). If not fluent, the consultant must at minimum be able to understand Swedish, as documentation and data structures contain Swedish terminology. Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
