They will handle MSA’s, SOWS, Incident Management, Account Management, Procurement Management, and Vendor Management. Manager wants this person to come from a sales background

Role Overview
We are seeking a Manufacturing Specialist to support external manufacturing partnerships critical to our production process. Reporting directly to the Director of External Manufacturing Partnerships, this role ensures outsourced manufacturing activities meet quality, timeline, and cost objectives.
You will work closely with external organizations to secure equipment, materials, and services necessary for production. This position requires a strong blend of account management, business development, and manufacturing expertise within the biotech or pharma industry.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage external manufacturing relationships: Act as the primary point of contact for assigned external partners and suppliers.
• Monitor performance and compliance: Ensure partners meet KPIs, timelines, and quality standards.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing: Support agreements, resolve issues, and maintain strong communication channels.
• Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with internal teams (Quality, Manufacturing, Procurement) to align on goals and resolve constraints.
• Track and report metrics: Maintain KPIs, budgets, and performance reports for external partners.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, or related field.
• 3–5 years in account management, business development, or external manufacturing within pharma/biotech.
• Experience managing third-party manufacturing relationships.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with GMP/GxP guidelines and manufacturing documentation.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
