[ad_1] Data Migration Specialist, Temporary Boston, MA () – The Fenway Institute Job Type Temporary Description The Data Migration Specialist at The Fenway Institute will be responsible for the transfer of historical HIV research data to our new EPIC electronic health record (EHR) system. In direct collaboration with the Project Director and the Data Research Team, you will support the Center for AIDS Research Network of Integrated Clinical Systems (CNICS) study by ensuring that essential clinical and research information-including patient outcomes, patient-reported metrics, and biological data-are accurately migrated. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with robust experience in healthcare data systems, particularly EPIC, who is dedicated to maintaining data integrity during the migration process. This is a 6 month contract. Key Responsibilities + Lead the data migration project, analyzing, mapping, and transferring data between EHR systems while safeguarding patient privacy and data accuracy. + Assist in coordination of work among other study staff assisting with the data migration to Epic. + Develop and implement tailored data conversion strategies, ensuring seamless integration and functionality within the EPIC environment. + Conduct extensive testing and validation post-migration to confirm the fidelity of data transfer, addressing any discrepancies and ensuring data integrity. + Maintain meticulous documentation of the data migration process, including strategies, challenges, and resolutions, providing clear communication to stakeholders. + Offer post-migration support, resolving any data-related issues and ensuring the stability and reliability of the EPIC EHR system. Perform Related Duties as Assigned Requirements + Proficient understanding of EHR systems, specifically EPIC. + Demonstrated experience in healthcare data migration with a focus on maintaining data integrity and security. + Proven capability to troubleshoot complex data-related issues. + Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. + Commitment to upholding HIPAA and other relevant healthcare data privacy and security regulations.
