Fractional HR & People Operations Manager for Fast-Growing Streaming Startup
Overview
Weevu is a real-time livestreaming marketplace connecting viewers with creators, drone pilots, and local experts. We are preparing for launch and need a part-time HR professional to establish our hiring, onboarding, and compliance foundation.
Responsibilities
• Create compliant offer letters, onboarding workflows, and HR documentation
• Set up hiring processes for engineering, support, and content teams
• Coordinate with payroll/PEO provider (e.g., Rippling, Justworks)
• Ensure compliance with U.S. labor laws and multi-state requirements
• Develop basic policies: employee handbook, code of conduct, anti-harassment, privacy
• Support initial recruiting workflows and ATS setup
• Guide internal teams on best practices for hiring and performance policies
Requirements
• 4+ years HR/People Ops experience in startups or tech
• Understanding of multi-state hiring rules
• Experience working with PEOs or payroll providers
• Strong documentation and process-building skills
• Able to work independently with founders and legal
Engagement
• 10–20 hrs/week for 2–3 months (extension possible)
Rate
• Negotiable
