Role Summary:
As our Senior Tax Accountant/Strategist, you’ll act as a core function in our tax department.
• Some days you’re preparing and reviewing tax returns
• Some days you’re advising clients on entity structuring and proactive planning
• Some days you’re refining workflows and improving client experiences and brainstorm with the leadership team
You don’t just execute — you think ahead, influence strategy, and deliver measurable client impact.
Your Typical Day at Work:
☑ Review and prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and a few trust tax returns, ensuring federal and state compliance
☑ Provide proactive, year-round tax planning and strategic advice for clients
☑ Conduct research on complex tax issues and identify opportunities for optimization
☑ Communicate insights and strategies clearly to clients
☑ Collaborate with leadership to refine departmental best practices and workflows
☑ Leverage technology to increase efficiency and accuracy across tax planning lifecycle
☑ Own client relationships, guiding expectations and delivering high-value outcomes
Key Responsibilities:
☑ Client Tax Strategy & Advisory
✔ Serve as strategic advisor
✔ Advise on entity structuring, proactive planning, and wealth-growing strategies
✔ Translate complex tax laws into actionable, easy-to-understand guidance
☑ Tax Compliance & Execution
✔ Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and trust returns
✔ Ensure federal and state compliance
✔ Assist clients with IRS and state notices
☑ Practice & Workflow Innovation
✔ Streamline processes and implement best practices
✔ Introduce technology and tools to enhance efficiency and client service
✔ Collaborate with leadership to shape the firm’s growth and strategy

Required Qualifications:
• ☑ Enrolled Agent (EA) required
• ☑ Active CPA or in final stages of licensure preferred
• ☑ 4–7 years of public accounting experience with a focus on tax
• ☑ Proven ability to manage client relationships proactively
• ☑ Deep understanding of federal and state tax law
• ☑ Tech-savvy and comfortable using multiple tax and workflow tools
Preferred Qualifications:
• ☑ Experience advising on tax planning
• ☑ Expertise in proactive tax planning, entity structuring, and strategic advising
• ☑ Experience in a startup or entrepreneurial environment
• ☑ Comfortable improving workflows, processes, and systems

• ☑ Full-time, Permanent Remote Setup
• ☑ Flexible Schedule with Collaboration Windows: Manage your workflow on Mondays - Thursdays, overlapping Eastern Time hours for team collaboration and client meetings.
• ☑ Friday is fully flexible while meeting all deadlines
Compensation & Benefits:
• ☑ Salary: $87,000–$120,000/year + revenue sharing
• ☑ % of profitable tax work + % of tax planning/implementation revenue
• ☑ Opportunity to shape a modern, proactive tax practice
