Security Consultant, Red Team, Google Public Sector

About the position Responsibilities • Perform offensive technical cyber security engagements of a varied nature. • Interface with clients to address concerns, issues, or escalations, and track and drive to closure any issues impacting engagements. • Advise on security best practices for remediating discovered issues. • Expand the team's capabilities through tool creation, research on offensive techniques, and incorporation of threat actor intelligence. • Develop comprehensive and accurate reports and presentations for both technical and executive audiences. • Act as a trusted advisor to C-level, security leaders, and other customer stakeholders. • Assist with scoping prospective engagements and lead teams from kickoff through the remediation phase, mentoring other staff. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. • 2 years of experience with penetration testing and red teaming functions, including network, web application, mobile, cloud, social engineering, scripting, or tool development. • Experience with tools used for wireless, web application, and network security testing. Nice-to-haves • Certifications related to offensive security including OSCE, OSEP, OSEE, OSCP, CCSAS, CCT, INF, or relevant SANS courses. • Experience conducting pen tests on cloud environments and identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities. • Proficiency with various pen testing tools and techniques (e.g., Kali Linux, Metasploit, Burp Suite). • Experience implementing or assessing information security controls. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop documentation and explain technical details concisely.
