Part-Time HR Operations Assistant
About the position
Responsibilities
• Submits personnel transaction forms (ePAFs and Dynamic Forms) for various staff categories in coordination with HR personnel.
• Monitors personnel transaction requests and maintains appropriate records.
• Supports student supervisors in refining position descriptions and navigating the hiring system.
• Coordinates hiring actions for student workers, including background checks and contracts.
• Maintains student worker and GRA hiring data using automated systems.
• Creates and maintains reports related to personnel activities.
• Provides operational support to the administrative services team as needed.
Requirements
• High school degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Willingness to learn and manage multiple competing deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
Nice-to-haves
• Strong listening and comprehension skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage information from multiple sources.
• Ability to follow and interpret policies in a business setting.
• Experience with Ellucian Banner.
• Experience with hiring student workers or non-benefited positions.
• Experience creating and editing Adobe Acrobat PDF documents.
• Experience working on a hybrid team.
