We are seeking a Licensed Insurance Agent (Intake Agent) to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with people, is detail-oriented, and wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and their families.
Position Summary
The Intake Agent is responsible for assisting residents and families with insurance enrollment and benefits coordination. This role includes managing inbound and outbound calls, processing applications, working closely with the Client Services Assistant, and maintaining accurate records in our CRM and Microsoft systems.
This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position (8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) with a base salary plus residual commission payout. Compensation is commensurate with experience and will be discussed during the interview process.
This is a Remote work position. No cold Calling. This role requires you to spend multiple hours on the phone talking with our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct intake calls with residents, family members, and facilities to assist with insurance enrollment and benefit questions as well as services they will receive in the facility.
Explain insurance options clearly and compassionately, ensuring compliance with all state and federal guidelines
Process and track insurance applications accurately and efficiently
Work collaboratively with the Client Services Assistant to coordinate application processing, collections, and follow-up tasks
Maintain detailed and organized records within Salesforce and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Provide exceptional customer service to clients, facility partners, and internal team members
Participate in ongoing training to stay current with product knowledge and compliance requirements
Meet or exceed performance goals and maintain a high level of professionalism
Qualifications
Must hold an active Michigan Accident and Health Insurance License
Strong phone communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Prior experience in health insurance, senior services, or medical environments preferred
Schedule & Compensation
Full Time: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Compensation: Base pay + residual commission payout, benefits after 90 days which include health and dental insurance, paid time off, 401 K, Life Insurance.
