JOB DESCRIPTION Job Description Principal Consultant - Remote (Full-Time) Heartland Consulting | Remote (CONUS) | 95% Remote Be the Strategic Voice for Alaska's Energy Future Shape policy. Influence outcomes. Lead from anywhere. As the strategic leader, you'll guide regulatory strategy, author executive briefs, and represent the team to client leadership. ---------------------------------------- Summary - Provides strategic leadership, regulatory expertise, and high-level client interface. Authors key deliverables, leads regulatory strategy, and ensures alignment with client objectives. ---------------------------------------- Key Responsibilities • Lead PUC/FERC filings and regulatory negotiations • Deliver monthly briefings and risk reviews • Approve EVM reports and mitigation plans • Join 3 high-impact site visits (hearings, audits) • Champion win themes: "Proven Privatization Accelerator" • Author technical deliverables and co-author monthly status reports • Review all written products for correctness and completeness • Plan and conduct meetings and briefings with client representatives • Provide strategic guidance on privatization feasibility and risk • Serve as escalation point for complex technical and regulatory issues ---------------------------------------- Qualifications • 15+ years DoD/DoW energy privatization experience • PMP certification + deep Alaska regulatory expertise • Masterful writing and presentation skills • Master's degree in Engineering, Law, or Business ---------------------------------------- Benefits • Health, Vision, Dental Insurance • Life & Disability Coverage • Paid Holidays & PTO • 401(k) with Company Match • Professional Development Support ---------------------------------------- Heartland Consulting is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer of individuals with disabilities and veterans.
