About the position Responsibilities • Deliver value to advisors and institutional clients seeking consultation on asset allocation, manager selection, and overall portfolio construction. • Synthesize Fidelity's intellectual capital and incorporate thought leadership into portfolio construction. • Gain a deep understanding of Fidelity's business cycle framework and asset allocation views from AART. • Absorb manager research and thought leadership from FIWA. • Champion advisor education on portfolio construction with alternative investments. • Distill investment and market insights through quarterly meetings with Fidelity's top portfolio managers. • Advance market commentary, asset class and sector strategy, and macro views from CMSG. • Collaborate with Portfolio Strategists and deliver on the needs of recurring clients. • Complete ad hoc projects. • Communicate key findings and actionable guidance clearly and concisely. • Be receptive to mentorship from leadership and team members. • Work alongside business partners in investment product & distribution, macro strategy, investment sales, custody & clearing relationship management. Requirements • 3+ years' relevant work experience. • Background in portfolio decision-making, providing investment guidance across multiple asset classes and styles. • CFA charterholder or progression toward the CFA designation. • FINRA Series 7 & 63 licenses required within four months of joining. • Proven investment acumen with the ability to respectfully challenge others' investment views. • Solid understanding of the mutual fund and ETF landscape. • Dynamic problem solver capable of independently completing complex portfolio analyses. • Outstanding aptitude for tackling complex portfolio challenges with grace and persuasiveness. • Strong sales communication & writing skills, including translating complex quantitative investment analysis into actionable investment solutions. • Developer of positive relationships with select internal & external partners.
