About the Role The People Operations Associate is part of the People & Development department, whose primary goal is to ensure our teams feel needed and appreciated. This role provides a unique opportunity to be a part of a fast growing Black-owned organization committed to building a safe and inspiring workplace for our BIPOC employees. The POA will be responsible for supporting Red Rabbit’s operations leaders to uplift and support their teams in a systematic way, ensuring team and manager are in professional alignment, and advocating for employees to create opportunities for growth. Reporting to the office of the Chief Business Officer, the POA is part of a team that supports 200 employees across urban centers in New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia. The role will require some travel but offers ample opportunity to work remotely. The ideal candidate is a bi-lingual (Spanish), well-rounded HR professional, Social Worker or high-functioning manager who has a passion for social justice in the workplace. Must be able to Travel within one of the regional areas of NY/NJ and PA Key Responsibilities Employee Support / Advocacy: Advise, coach and counsel managers on employee relations issues, and formulate specific measurable actions to help them resolve issues, increase effectiveness, build relationships and achieve business goals. Operations Management: Drive functional excellence and process improvement. Support recruiting efforts by understanding where the needs are in organization and maintain a global view for internal promotions. Administer various HR policies and procedures. Ensure employees are on a growth path. Administrative Duties: Manage the HRIS system ensuring the integrity of all data entry. Develop internal recruiting strategies for open positions. Collaborate with managers to identify recruitment needs. Assist with the on-boarding experience with managers and serve as the key resource for new hires as they acclimate to Red Rabbit. Skills Required Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Human Resources or Career Coach, or relevant certifications 2+ years Case Work experience or HR experience, preferably in a Hospitality/Restaurant or School environment.1+ years management experience of a team of 3 or more An entrepreneurial spirit and desire to be part of a growing, mission-based company.Must share our passion for building equity for children of color and improving nutrition in schools.Must have excellent communication skills and be extremely well organized.Proficient in Spanish a big plus!
