Digital Health Improvement Consultant
About the position
Responsibilities
• Leads projects and conducts analyses to support the organization/Digital Health team goals around quality, safety, equity, and continuous improvement.
• Utilizes improvement methodologies to facilitate diverse teams working toward yearly and multi-year quality metrics and priorities.
• Conducts benchmarking, evidence review and synthesis, manual observations, and chart reviews to support projects using PowerBI, Epic, Excel, or other analysis/visualization tools.
• Creates detailed analysis to suggest specific actions in support of project goals.
• Assists with operationalizing those suggestion actions.
• Creates ROI analysis to determine effectiveness of proposed or implemented solutions.
• Maintains ongoing data analysis/sharing, visual display and annotations of control charts, tests of change, evidence updates and support of control teams.
• Develop relationships with organizational leaders to facilitate easier change management in the future.
• Demonstrates a learning mindset, researching and driving adoption of evidence backed methodologies.
• Networks pediatric organization to develop examples and background data to enhance Digital Health efforts.
• Shares improvement stories and lessons learned with external organizations and patients and families by spearheading submissions for presentation and publication.
• Supports Lurie Children's participation in external collaboratives.
• Presents data analysis to leadership on continuous basis with conclusions and recommendations.
• Performs job functions adhering to Core Values to provide the highest quality care and service to our patients, families, co-workers and others.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1-3 years' experience in health care, patient safety, or quality; or experience leading improvement projects within healthcare or service-related environment utilizing formal methodologies.
• Experience in safety and quality improvement training preferred.
• Project management and collaboration skills required.
• Strong written, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in presenting, communicating, and interacting effectively with medical staff and management at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to independently manage multiple projects with general supervision.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Preferred proficiency with Epic.
• Experience and skill with data management including interpreting, comprehending, and summarizing statistical and medical data.
