Google Ads Specialist Needed: Account Audit, Training & Ongoing Support for Locksmith Business
Description:
I'm currently in the process of acquiring a locksmith service business and need an experienced Google Ads specialist to help me evaluate the existing advertising account as part of my due diligence.
Since this is a business acquisition, I need to understand the account's health and opportunities before I close, then receive comprehensive training after closing in January when I can work hands-on with the live account.
This is a two-phase engagement starting immediately with pre-closing audit work, followed by post-acquisition training.
Phase 1: Pre-Closing Audit & Basic Orientation (6-7 hours total)
Account Audit (3-4 hours):
• Conduct a comprehensive Google Ads account review
• Review campaign structure, ad groups, and keyword organization
• Identify any red flags, wasted spend, or underperforming campaigns
• Assess Quality Scores, CTR, conversion tracking setup, and bid strategies
• Review negative keyword lists and search term reports
• Check for compliance issues or policy violations
• Identify quick-win optimization opportunities
• Flag low-hanging fruit for immediate performance improvements
• Highlight areas where budget is being wasted
• Recommend campaign adjustments that could increase ROI
Intro Training for Me (2-3 hours):
• Provide a basic introduction to Google Ads so I can understand what I'm acquiring:
• Walk me through the account structure and how campaigns are organized
• Explain the dashboard and key metrics to monitor
• Review the audit findings and what they mean
• Show me what red flags to look for and why optimization opportunities matter
• Help me understand enough to make an informed acquisition decision
• Deliverable: Written audit report (3-5 pages) summarizing findings, red flags, and recommended optimizations
Phase 2: Comprehensive Hands-On Training (12-15 hours) - BEGINS JANUARY 2025
This phase starts after I close on the business in early-to-mid January, when I have full access to manage the account.
In-depth training over 2-3 weeks (12-15 hours total):
Week 1 (6-8 hours):
• Daily and weekly management workflow and checklists (1-2 hours)
• Hands-on practice: adjusting bids, budgets, and ad scheduling (2 hours)
• Search term review and negative keyword management (2 hours)
• Writing and testing ad copy (1-2 hours)
• Understanding conversion tracking and Google Analytics integration (1-2 hours)
Week 2-3 (6-7 hours):
• Campaign optimization practice with my actual account (2-3 hours)
• Creating performance reports and interpreting data (1-2 hours)
• Troubleshooting common issues and when to make changes (1-2 hours)
• Advanced topics: audience targeting, ad extensions, seasonal adjustments (2 hours)
• Deliverable: Simple SOPs/checklists for ongoing daily/weekly management tasks
Ideal Candidate:
• Google Ads certified with 3+ years of hands-on experience
• Strong teaching/training skills — ability to explain concepts clearly to someone new to Google Ads
• Experience conducting Google Ads audits and account takeovers
• Familiar with conversion tracking, call tracking, and local service ads
• Patient, responsive, and able to communicate in plain language (not just industry jargon)
• Available for screen-sharing training sessions via Zoom
• Comfortable working with a business acquisition timeline (Phase 1 now, Phase 2 in January)
To Apply, Please Include:
• Your experience with Google Ads audits and training
• Your typical audit process and what's included
• Your availability to start Phase 1 this week
• Your proposed pricing for each phase
• 2-3 client references or testimonials
