Game Designer III - Unpublished R&D Product

As a Game Designer, you will design and optimize the player experience. Your analytical skills, player insight, and creativity help craft in- and out-of-game experiences that engage and surprise players. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and work with every tool at hand to create innovative, player-focused designs that'll delight millions around the world. Working on an early stage product, you will help decipher one of Riot's next big bets. As a Senior Game Designer on an unpublished R&D product, you excel in designing exceptional experiences for a varied audience. You partner with other designers, artists, and engineers to create and iterate on a variety of memorable content types for players. All of these features contribute to a game which is high in novelty and filled with unique challenges to overcome. You will report to a Design Manager on the team. Responsibilities: • Work collaboratively to design, prototype and deliver compelling player experiences from the beginning to the end of an activity • Drive solutions for unique creative problems around a variety of game settings • Push for novel gameplay that delivers unique and interesting player experiences • Actively participate in playtests and feedback sessions, using data and insights to iterate on designs • Communicate clearly and effectively with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure alignment and shared vision Required Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience in professional Game Design • Portfolio of design examples from previously shipped titles • Experience standing up compelling experiences in a holistic way that integrates a creative vision • Ability to work within resource and design direction constraints to deliver a great, high-quality experience to players • Deep understanding of games of a wide variety of genres Desired Qualifications: • Experience working on a live game • Experience working in Unreal Engine, particularly Blueprint scripting • Experience building gameplay puzzles for players to solve • Experience driving a creative vision for a gameplay experience from start to finish For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise and a collaborative spirit that prioritizes the delight of players.
