Credit Review Analyst I - Auto Finance Fraud
About the position
Responsibilities
• Review Excel based red flag reporting to identify accounts requiring fraud investigation.
• Investigate loan originations for fraud or misrepresentation by reviewing loan documentation and underwriting systems.
• Identify underwriting and funding weaknesses, address areas of non-compliance, and recommend changes when necessary.
• Assist in the development and support of models, analysis, and reporting related to the soundness of credit activities.
• Perform quality monitoring across the organization by analyzing, summarizing, and monitoring compliance of credit policies and procedures.
• Consult with management when needed and make recommendations on policy exceptions and control weaknesses.
• Create reports for management with viable recommendations for improvement of business operations, efficiencies, and internal controls.
• Research and develop opportunities to keep up with industry fraud trends and resources.
• Assist fellow team members to establish a consistent level of quality, accuracy, and compliance to departmental standards and internal controls.
Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 0-2 years auto lending, finance/banking experience preferred.
• Competency with Microsoft Office, focusing on Excel data mining and filtering functions.
• Ability to effectively plan, execute, and improve work processes to ensure achievement of business objectives.
• Proactive in achieving goals and objectives that positively impact GM Financial's overall business results.
• Detail-oriented and organized with problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex issues and present technical information accurately and clearly.
