[Remote] Civil/Environmental Engineer PE - Relocation Assistance to Florida

MissionHires is partnering with a fast-growing, Florida-based civil and environmental engineering firm to hire a full-time Civil/Environmental Engineer (PE) with 8–15 years of experience. This role involves preparing engineering calculations, overseeing designs, and managing projects while contributing to innovative OneWater initiatives. Responsibilities • Prepare and/or oversee engineering calculations, AutoCAD 3D designs, assessments, studies, master plans, models, construction drawings, specifications, permit applications, and technical reports • Serve as Project Manager or Technical Lead depending on project scale and complexity • Lead pilot studies, technical reports, GIS/CADD/modeling activities, construction engineering and inspection (CEI) services, and stakeholder outreach • Support business development efforts including proposals, presentations, project schedules, budgets, and cost evaluations • Research and evaluate innovative technologies, regulations, and methods relevant to OneWater, sustainable design, and smart utilities • Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, vendors, and internal teams to ensure quality and timely delivery • Contribute to development of best practices and decision support tools, including AI-enabled and collaborative delivery approaches • Participate in asset management, CMOM, and smart utility consulting initiatives • Occasional travel within Southwest to West Central Florida for site visits, pilots, and client meetings Skills • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (required) • At least six (6) years of engineering experience (8–15 years preferred for growth into leadership roles) • Active Florida PE license or ability to obtain within 4 months • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint) • Strong communication skills and demonstrated project management experience • Ability to oversee and mentor support staff including engineers and CADD designers • Valid driver’s license with excellent driving record • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Resident Alien (Green Card) • Willingness to complete pre-employment background check and drug test • Experience with AutoCAD 3D, GIS, hydraulic/modeling tools, and database management • Master’s degree in water/wastewater, water resources, or site development • Prior project management experience or formal training Benefits • Competitive compensation • Affordable medical, dental, and vision plans • SIMPLE IRA retirement plan with match • Spot bonuses, year-end performance bonuses, and recruitment incentives • Gold star awards and fun team-building events • Ongoing training and one-on-one mentorship • Other unique perks Company Overview • MissionHires is an AI hiring platform that provides automated sourcing, screening, and recruitment services.
