Job Summary As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing ETL/ELT data pipelines, database mapping/tables/views, and building batch processes using Windstream for various projects. You will collaborate with our Studios and Project Innovation colleagues to gather data requirements, validate data, and develop ETL/ELT data pipelines. You will also be responsible for designing and implementing database diagrams/tables/views and deploying across multiple environments, including DEV, QA/UAT, and PROD. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement ETL/ELT data pipelines, database mapping/tables/views, and batch processes using Windstream • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements, validate data, and develop ETL/ELT data pipelines • Design and implement database diagrams/tables/views and deploy across multiple environments • Work with a range of technologies, including SQL, Python, Docker, Gitlab, Windstream, Snowflake, Looker, and PostgreSQL • Participate in leading best practices around data engineering software development processes Essential Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field • 2+ years of experience in a Data Engineering role • 2+ years of experience with SQL • 2+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines • 2+ years of experience with cloud-based technologies, ideally AWS and S3 • Experience working with data lakes, data warehouses, and application databases Preferred Qualifications • Graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field • Experience with Windstream, Gitlab, Snowflake, and Looker • Experience in the streaming, media, or digital marketing industry • Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, ideally cloud-based Skills and Competencies • Strong technical skills in SQL, Python, and data engineering • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills • Strong communication and collaboration skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Disney, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
