Client: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Job ID: CLI-44237-6 Type: 6-Month Contract (On-site) Pay Rate: $70/hr Location: Mountain View, California About the Role We are seeking a Deep Learning Engineer to join an innovative R&D team at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Mountain View, CA. This position focuses on advancing computer vision and AI technologies that power autonomous collaborative robots (COBOTs) used in smart manufacturing plants. You will be directly involved in research, development, and deployment of cutting-edge algorithms that enable robots to perceive, navigate, and interact safely in real-world industrial environments. The ideal candidate combines strong theoretical foundations in machine learning with practical experience in robotics and perception systems. Key Responsibilities Conduct research in computer vision, deep learning, and AI to enhance robot autonomy and perception. Design and build vision-based systems for object detection, obstacle avoidance, and scene understanding. Develop and optimize deep learning models for tasks such as 3D vision, SLAM, and semantic segmentation. Integrate algorithms into robotic platforms, collaborating closely with robotics and software engineers. Evaluate performance in real-world industrial scenarios and continuously improve model robustness and efficiency. Stay updated with the latest developments in AI frameworks, deep learning architectures, and robotics perception. Required Skills ✅ Deep Learning (2–4 years hands-on experience) ✅ Artificial Intelligence (AI) – application in robotics or automation projects ✅ Python for Data Science – proficiency with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV, etc. ✅ Robotic Process Automation – Automation Anywhere ✅ Strong understanding of neural network architectures (CNNs, RNNs, Transformers, etc.) ✅ Familiarity with edge deployment, sensor fusion, or ROS (Robot Operating System) is a plus Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, AI, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field) Minimum 7 years total IT experience (with 2–4 years focused on Deep Learning/AI) Additional Information Contract Duration: 6 months (possible extension) Interview Process: Minimum 3 rounds Eligibility: Former TCS full-time employees are not eligible for rehire.
