Job Posting: Web Developer (Contract – Remote) We are seeking a professional and experienced Web Developer to design and deliver a website for a construction company. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building clean, functional, and visually appealing websites, with the ability to complete projects on time and to specification. Project Scope: This project involves creating a straightforward, professional website that highlights our construction services, portfolio of past projects, company background, and contact information. While simple in scope, attention to detail, functionality, and user experience are essential. Responsibilities: • Design and develop a responsive, user-friendly website tailored to a construction business. • Implement clear navigation, service pages, and an easy-to-update portfolio/gallery. • Ensure mobile and cross-browser compatibility. • Integrate SEO best practices for visibility. • Set up a contact form with spam protection. • Provide basic training or documentation for updating content. • Deliver the completed website within the agreed timeline. Requirements: • Proven experience in website development (portfolio required). • Proficiency in front-end and back-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WordPress or similar CMS). • Experience designing service-based or construction/real estate websites preferred. • Strong understanding of responsive design and UX principles. • Ability to follow instructions while also providing creative input and recommendations. • Excellent communication and time-management skills. • Available to begin immediately and deliver promptly. Additional Preferred Skills: • Knowledge of SEO and bolthires Analytics integration. • Familiarity with hosting, domain setup, and security best practices (SSL, backups). • Ability to optimize images and content for speed/performance.
